Estate Ninja ("we", "our", or "the app") is an estate sale appraisal tool that helps professionals photograph, catalog, and price items. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
- Account information — email address and name, used for authentication and account management.
- Item photos — images you capture or upload for appraisal. Photos are stored securely and associated with your account.
- Item data — titles, descriptions, pricing, and other appraisal details generated by AI or entered manually.
- Usage data — AI scan counts and feature usage for billing and service improvement.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide AI-powered item appraisals and pricing.
- To store and organize your estate sale inventory.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To improve the accuracy of our AI models and service quality.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase — authentication and data storage.
- OpenAI — AI-powered item analysis. Photos and item descriptions are sent to OpenAI only when you explicitly initiate an AI scan. No data is sent automatically. OpenAI's use of this data is subject to their privacy policy.
- Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions.
- Square — optional point-of-sale integration (only if you connect your Square account).
Device Permissions
- Camera — to photograph items for appraisal.
- Photo Library — to select existing photos for appraisal.
- Bluetooth — to connect to label printers for printing price tags.
- Notifications — for estate sale reminders and updates (optional, requested only when relevant).
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Photos and account data are stored in secure, encrypted infrastructure. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
